By now you may know that I love a beautiful Henderson Beach Resort Wedding. I also love sharing my couple’s love stories on the blog. Whether it’s a surprise proposal or a wedding, I love not only showing you the photos but the story behind the photos. And who better to tell us their story, than my couples themselves? 

Welcome, Ainsley and Bruce to the blog! They had their wedding in Destin, FL at the Henderson Beach Resort. I hope you enjoy hearing about their story as much as I did.

Q: How did you and Bruce meet?

Bruce and I met at the Most Magical Place on Earth- Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. We knew from the moment we met that we had found our Happily Ever After.

Q: I love that! How did the proposal go down?

Bruce proposed at The Henderson Park Inn during an intimate and romantic dinner-Toes in the Sand. We visited again the same week the following year and dined Toes in the Sand, leading up to this year, September 23rd where we had our wedding out on the beach, followed by Toes in The Sand to celebrate our marriage.

Q: What made you decide to have your wedding in Destin, FL?

We love working for The Walt Disney World Company, and with that being said, it was a no brainer to vacation in Destin when we found a 26 and up, no children resort at The Henderson Park Inn. It is nice to do a full 180 scenery wise when it comes to getting away and relaxing.

Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Our first look. Seeing Bruce for the first time on our wedding day on the grand lawn at the Henderson Beach Resort melted my heart just as it does every time I look at him. 

Q: What advice would you give to other couples who are planning their wedding day?

Trust your gut. When it comes to venues, florals, hair/ makeup etc, you know yourself best and ultimately what you want and envision for your wedding day. If something doesn’t sit right with you, change it. Do what is best for you and nobody else – when it comes down to it, your wedding day is about you and your husband and your happiness is of the utmost importance.
