I’m so excited to talk to you about Kayla and John’s wedding in Sandestin, FL! They got married at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort surrounded by family and friends. These two have been together since 2013. These High School sweethearts were set up by their friends!
These two have a great history with beaches in Destin because that’s where their proposal happened! When John asked her to go on a sunset walk on the beach, Kayla had no idea what was about to happen. After the proposal, where she obviously said yes, they went back to the rental house. Of course, there she found family waiting there to surprise her!
I always enjoy seeing the love my couples share! Kayla and John are no exception. I asked them each to tell me three things they loved about the other. Kayla told me she loves John’s kindness, itelligence, and goofiness. While John loves her heart, drive and determination, and how considerate she is of others.
They are such a super easy-going, fun-loving, and overall happy couple. It really shines through in how their wedding turned out! They were most excited about dancing and celebrating with their friends and family. Their reception did not disappoint! All of their friends and family were out there grooving on the dance floor with a live band! It was definitely an amazing party.
Their whole wedding day was beautiful and elegant. Kayla’s bridesmaids wore matching champagne dresses. In turn, the groomsmen were in sleek black suits. This wedding was actually one of the largest wedding parties that I have photographed but they made it a breeze!
They snuck plenty of special moments into their day, like Kayla having a first look with her stepdad and bridesmaids. Of course, the time they carved out for sunset photos together.
Their wedding ceremony took place on the Elation Lawn. The lush green lawn is next to the Grand Complex at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. It’s just beautiful there especially the magnolia trees backdrop.
Then, after taking Kayla and John’s formal portraits we headed to the 5,500 square foot Azalea Ballroom at the Grand Complex. This ballroom can hold up to 800 people. Let me tell you, they really decked out this ballroom. Place settings, reception table decor, and florals were soooo stunning! My favorite part of this ballroom is the large dome-style chandeliers.
I was so happy to get to be there for their wedding day. Of course, I wish them a lifetime of love!
