Utah Elopement Locations

Weddings

back

Today is all about Utah elopement locations. I have shared a few recent spots around the country that I have been visiting. I want to keep sharing some epic elopement spots with you guys! I think that Utah is quickly becoming one of, if not the top places to elope. I think this has to do with the multiple National Parks that are home to Utah. As well as a whole state full of beautiful outdoor locations. You’ve also likely seen photos on Pinterest of each of these locations because they are so popular to photograph, and for good reason. Each of these locations varies slightly from each other while providing an epic backdrop to your elopement. So let’s dive into my top 3 elopement locations in Utah!

1. Zion National Park

I really couldn’t make this list without Zion! Zion is one of the most visited National Parks each year for good reason. It’s a gorgeous National Park with plenty of elopement spots. There are hikes for all skill levels that lead to views that feel straight out of a painting. There is one especially popular hike that leads to a lookout that you may be familiar with. I think a sunrise elopement there would be unreal! As with most National Parks, you’ll want to look into a permit for having an elopement in the park. Elopements and weddings happen often so it is fairly easy to do.

2. Bonneville Salt Flats

Utah Elopement at the Bonneville Salt flats

Located just outside of Salt Lake City is the Bonneville Salt Flats. The Salt Flats truly transport you to another world. When water is on the Salt Flats it reflects the sky. You feel like you are floating in the clouds. The Salt Flats are wide and vast with plenty of space to find a secluded spot while still being out in the open and enjoying the views. The Salt Flats do have a wet and dry season so that is one thing to keep in mind here. But the nice thing is there’s a live camera feed. You can see what the flats look like on any given day!

3. Moab

Moab is a little town in the desert. It is known for adventure and being a resting place right outside of Arches National Park. Like Zion, there are permits for getting married in Moab that you will need to get. Moab is a gateway to so many beautiful elopement locations. When you picture the red and orange scenery of Utah, you are probably thinking of Moab. You won’t be disappointed with the quiet relaxed small-time vibes mixed with the grand views just outside of the town.

If you are an adventure seeker or just appreciate the beauty of nature, I think that an elopement in Utah could be perfect for you! These locations all transport you to a unique area of the world and let you breathe a little easier. Whether you opt for the warm tones of the National Parks or the white crispness of the Bonneville Salt Flats, your photos are sure to turn out amazing. You will for sure have a wedding day that you will never forget!
